Chris’s Cool Cars: TLC4X4 1988 Land Cruiser FJ62
One of the few benefits to living in Southern California (other than the weather) is the incredible car culture we have here and the number of amazing car builders. Just 10 minutes from me in Chatsworth, CA are sister companies TLC4X4 and Icon, both founded by Jonathan Ward.
The car featured here is a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 custom built and restored by TLC4X4 to celebrate the Land Cruiser’s 70th anniversary. This impressive FJ62 received a complete frame-off rebuild and restoration. It was fitted with a number of upgrades including a 430hp LS3 engine, four-speed automatic transmission, retooled suspension, upgraded brakes and Method Wheels wrapped in all terrain tires. The interior was upgraded with full leather and heated seating, a new headliner, modern infotainment system, power locks and windows, and an upgraded HVAC system.
