Chris’ Cool Cars: 2023 BMW M4 CSL
This year, BMW’s M division is celebrating its 50th anniversary and the new BMW M4 CSL is here to celebrates. It’s got 543-horsepower, rear-wheel drive and can lap the Nürburgring in just over 7 minutes and 20 seconds, which is the fastest production BMW to lap the famous track.
The latest CSL (Coupé Sport Lightweight) is the third BMW to ever wear that badge. It shed 240 pounds and gained 39 horses to earn it. Zero to 62mph is around 3.7 seconds and the top speed is limited to 191mph. This is all possible with the help of the BMW S58 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six mated to an eight-speed single-clutch ZF automatic.
BMW is only going to make around 1,000 examples of the new 2023 M4 CSL and sell them for about $141,000 a piece.
