Does Your Business Offer a Guarantee? It Should!

Every business should have a guarantee. No, they aren’t cheesy. No, they aren’t going to cost you money. A good guarantees is one of the most vital parts of your marketing strategy. Every business needs to have a solid guarantee the entire company can stand behind.

First of all, guarantees don’t have to make massive promises. In fact, they shouldn’t. Your guarantee just has to promise something you can deliver. If you can’t deliver on your promises, on your guarantee, your reputation will suffer and it will hurt your bottom line.

Offering a guarantee to your clients takes the risk out of buying from you. The existence of a guarantee can often mean the difference between closing a sale or not. Your clients want assurance that they are making a good choice, handing over their hard-earned money to the right company, and your guarantee will help them feel at ease. Guarantees also help set your expectations to your employees, which in turn will create a level of consistency your customers will love.

What does a guarantee look like? The simpler the better. In fact, it can be as simple as “100% Satisfaction Guaranteed”, but you better be able to deliver on that promise. Make sure your guarantee is a good fit for you, your business and your culture. It should reflect your abilities and values. Once you’ve got it in place, you have to tell the world about it.

Your guarantee needs to become one of your key marketing points. It needs to be promoted everywhere within your business. Again, it doesn’t have to be cheesy or shoved in your client’s faces, but it needs to be there. It needs to be easy to find and easily recognized. Your clients need to see it.

If you don’t already have a guarantee, I challenge you to create one. If you already have one, do your clients know about it? If not, what are you waiting for? Tell everyone about it!
